Our Board and staff teams have been working to update the organization’s strategic plan over the last few months, there is agreement as to the direction to take, but we are struggling to find the right format for our plan, one that is ambitious with an appropriate level of detail and accountability, but relatively simple in format for a small organization. We are hoping to find a volunteer to help us craft a new plan, based on the material we have, while proposing a format that is suitable for our needs. This could potentially involve a few meetings, but most of the work could be carried out by email.
How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
This is a great opportunity for a volunteer to hone skills and build experience, especially with non-profit and smaller grassroots organizations. As non-government organization, there is latitude and flexibility for the volunteer to recommend creative solutions and ideas for a strategic plan model that may not be appropriate for other organizations.
How will the organization benefit?
The strategic plan is essential for setting the direction of the organization over the next three to five years, assistance from an external party with a fresh perspective, would be valuable to help chart a path forward.
