Description

Become a Board member for Centretown Citizens Ottawa Corporation, a community-based non-profit housing organization. The Board of Directors helps navigate important decision making and processes while acting in the best interest of the organization. Our goal as an organization is to create, maintain and promote affordable housing for those in need in the Ottawa area. This volunteer commitment is a minimum 2 year term as an acting Board member.

How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
This opportunity enables members to grow their impact within the community and develop alongside other like minded individuals. You will be able to gain experience in the non-profit housing sector, gain leadership skills, confidence in speaking/presenting, and etc.
How will the organization benefit?
CCOC would not be able to run as successfully as we do without the help of our incredible volunteers. As a community-based non-profit we rely heavily on our Board of Directors who oversee many of the important tasks like; attending to legal affairs, financial management and budget, ensuring adequate human resources, and etc.
