Events and Fundraising Coordinator
Do you love planning a good event? The kind that makes you smile at the end of it knowing that you’ve helped the community out?
If that’s the case, we want to chat with you! Our Outreach team is looking to add some event coordinators to take the lead on fundraisers in Ottawa.
If you’re a creative thinker and a “go-getter,” you’re exactly what we’re looking for to help us raise funds and create awareness for the Ottawa Paw Pantry. This volunteer is not expected to attend all events, but rather contribute to the overall success of the event program, as well as lead a few events per year (planning and attending).
Brainstorm and strategize possible fundraisers and community events across Ottawa and online
Participate is regular virtual meetings with the Outreach team
Show initiative and suggest potential event/fundraiser ideas
Lead events on-site, including event coordination responsibilities, with support from the Outreach team
During in-person events, participate in community events, including set-up and take-down of the event tent, table, banners, merchandise, etc, when possible.
Outside-the-box thinking for fundraising initiatives
Working knowledge of Google Drive
Comfortable using design tools like Canva (or open to learning)
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (French is a plus!)
Good attention to detail
