Monday afternoons – Woodworking & Art

Wednesday afternoons – Woodworking & Clay

Friday mornings – Block Art

Saturday afternoons – Art
Sunday afternoons – Art
Volunteers will help bring residents and veteran residents living in long-term care to the Creative Arts Studios for classes. Visit with residents and assist them in finishing their art projects, as needed. Help Creative Arts Instructors to set up and clean up studio space. No art experience is necessary – just an interest in connecting with frail, elderly people who have a lot of stories and experience to share. Please apply online at www.perleyhealth.ca/volunteers

How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
This is an opportunity to gain experience in a long term care setting and to share your creative interests and skills. You will be providing support to a vulnerable population and work closely with skilled Creative Arts staff.

Our residents will benefit by being able to participate in creative activities that promote social connection and provide meaning in their lives. You will be assisting staff to provide a valuable activity and allow more residents to participate.
