Description

RECRUITING FOR THIS SHIFT SPECIFICALLY: if you are interested in other volunteering opportunities with Dress for Success Ottawa, please use our volunteer interest form at ottawa.dressforsuccess.org/volunteer-application to notify us.

We need volunteers to help specifically Monday, November 27 from 10:00-1:00. We ask that you come in for a half hour orientation in the boutique between November 14th to the 17th. Once you apply for the volunteer position, we will reach out to schedule the orientation with you.

Support Dress for Success Ottawa’s Seasonal Sale by signing up to help close out our event space and assess seasonal workwear for our Suiting Program. We need volunteers to help us flip our Boutique back to a regular programming space after the sale. Lifting and bending required.

The main responsibility of this shift is to shift the boutique look and inventory from a sales set-up into the next season of workwear so that it is ready for job-seeking clients coming into our Suiting Program. When you arrive you’ll be given a role and helped to register your car for free parking.

Location of Volunteerism: 200 Catherine St (Dress for Success Boutique)

Things to Know and Dress Code
– Our boutique is a scent-reduced environment, which means no perfume or scented skin products should be applied within 4 hours of coming for your shift.
– For safety, please wear close-toed comfortable shoes and clothing that you can move around in!
– Please bring a water bottle with you.

How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
Get to know others and learn how to build an empowering retail space. You will get to meet new people in a fun and casual environment while giving back at the same time!
How will the organization benefit?
By supporting us to quickly and efficiently return our boutique to its design and set-up for our Suiting Program, we will be able to welcome hundreds of women starting on November 28 to enjoy professional winter Workwear Suitings.
Volunteer location:
200 Catherine Street, lower level. Parking available onsite.
