Examples of activities that volunteers will be supporting include; Group discussions, Quizzes, Games, Crafts, Sing Alongs, Chair Exercise and more. Volunteers will also support Program Facilitators to serve lunch to the clients.

Please note that volunteers will not be responsible for any personal care and will have constant support from Program Facilitator staff.

You must be 18 years of age or older to volunteer with this program and able to commit weekly.

How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
Volunteers will gain experience supporting program facilitation for older adults living with early-mid stage dementia. Volunteers will directly improve the quality of life of the clients served through the Adult Day Program hosted by Abbotsford House at The Glebe Centre.
How will the organization benefit?
Through the support of Volunteers program transitions and offerings all clients are able to participate meaningfully throughout the days programs. Often 1:1 support creates a less stressful environment for those living with dementia.
